MLops Engineer

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Inspire, the largest social network for patients and caregivers is hiring an MLOPS Engineer to join our collaborative, curious, forward-looking team, to extend and manage the infrastructure of our websites and related systems. You will be supporting our onshore and offshore engineering development teams by managing our development/deployment process and technology. The Inspire stack runs on AWS technologies, including Lambda, ECS, EC2, S3, Aurora, Redshift, SNS/SQS, ALB and CloudFormation, Linux servers, and NGINX. We use GitHub to control our codebase and Jenkins, Terraform, and GitHub actions for our CI/CD pipeline. Jupyter, Airflow and other services are used by our Data Science team. AWS Sagemaker technologies (including SageMaker Studio and SageMaker Pipeline) are used for building, training and deploying ML Models. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for ML Operations but will also participate in organization-wide AWS infrastructure management and CI/CD operations.

REQUIREMENT/WHAT WE NEED: 5-7 years of total experience in Data Engineering, Devops, CI/CD pipelines, Python, Java or any other backend programming language and min 2 years of experience in implementing MLOPS in the AWS cloud using Sagemaker

MLOPS Engineer responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy cloud solutions, build MLOps on AWS cloud
  • Build and orchestrate CI/CD pipelines using CodeBuild, Sagemaker Pipeline. Knowledge of GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and/or Airflow is a plus.
  • Develop and deploy proof-of-concept machine learning pipelines.
  • Review submissions from ML engineers with an eye toward ML Ops integration, containerization, deployment, versioning, and quality monitoring.
  • Orchestrate model testing and validation in coordination with QA for test automation
  • Support AWS infrastructure and CI/CD operations for application developers as needed.
  • Work alongside a team of data scientists, data engineers, product team, architects, devops, frontend web and mobile developers.
  • Monitor build and production systems using automated monitoring and alarm tools
  • Implement scripting work using Python
  • Control code and configurations using GitHub
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated problem-solving ability
  • Experience in Agile software development methodology, processes, and practices
  • Effective communication in person, over video, and text
  • Ability to succeed and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with shifting priorities

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of MLOps experience including model versioning, model and data lineage, monitoring, model hosting and deployment, scalability, orchestration, continuous learning, automated pipelines.
  • Ability to design and implement cloud solutions and ability to build MLOps pipelines on cloud solutions using AWS Sagemaker
  • Experience with SageMaker, SageMaker Studio, SageMaker Pipeline and Code:Build.
  • Experience with Docker and ECS.
  • Experience in a programming language such as Python
  • Solid understanding of Linux
  • Knowledge of frameworks such as scikit-learn, Keras, PyTorch, Tensorflow, etc.
  • Ability to understand tools used by data scientists and experience with software development, testing and test automation
  • Fluent in English, good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with a US based team is a plus
  • Experience working with a cloud technology

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or relevant engineering stream, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in using AWS technologies
  • Any AWS Certifications are a plus
