Director, Sales Operations

Location: Remote within the United States
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: Inspire, the online health community that supports millions of patients and caregivers, advances understanding of the health journey, and partners with the biopharmaceutical community to provide patient access and real-world evidence solutions is seeking a Director of Sales Operations. This newly created role will report to the CRO directly and be responsible for analyzing sales data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Provide regular reports and insights to the sales team and management. Streamline and automate sales processes to improve productivity and reduce manual efforts. In this role you will:  Provide Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and execute sales operations strategies aligned with the company’s overall business goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to set and achieve sales targets.
Define Sales Process Optimization:
  • Design, implement, and optimize sales processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure consistent and scalable sales methodologies across the organization.
  • Oversee the management and optimization of the CRM system.
Develop Performance Management:
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess sales performance.
  • Conduct regular analysis of sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Implement performance management programs to drive sales team success.
Revenue Forecasting and Reporting:
  • Lead the sales forecasting process to provide accurate and timely revenue projections.
  • Develop and maintain sales reports and dashboards for executive leadership.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
Establish Sales Enablement:
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop sales enablement materials and training programs.
  • Ensure the sales team is equipped with the tools, resources, and knowledge needed to succeed.

  • Sales – understand sales methodologies, emerging developments in sales, and industry trends.
  • Business – Strong business understanding is essential to align sales strategies with overall business objectives. Analyze market data, conduct financial evaluations, and have a keen sense of market dynamics to make data-driven decisions.
  • Leadership – Be an effective leader capable of inspiring and motivating teams, set a clear vision, foster collaboration, and empower their team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Communication – Excellent communication skills to convey complex ideas, negotiate with stakeholders, and build strong relationships. Communicate the sales vision, strategies, and performance metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Life sciences and data expertise – at least 10 years experience and 5 years of life sciences expertise, and a strong focus on selling technologies, patient solutions, and data. An understanding of the various stakeholders in pharma necessary to develop strategies to support their evolving needs.
  • Entrepreneurial and adaptable – Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities, and demonstrated ability to work creatively and effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Organizational – Attention to detail and ability to work simultaneously on multiple initiatives. An entrepreneurial spirit and drive.
  • BS and Advanced degree is preferred but not required
