Business Development Manager, Digital Advertising

Location: Arlington, VA or Remote within the United States


Inspire, the vital community that supports millions of patients and caregivers, advances understanding of the health journey, and partners with the medical community to accelerate life-changing discoveries, is seeking a Business Development Manager to work with our business development team in selling digital ad offerings and clinical trial awareness and recruitment services to agencies and pharmaceutical companies by building and developing the pipeline.

In this role you will: 

  • Assist Inspire’s Business Development team in selling Inspire’s recruit and promote products to agencies and pharmaceutical companies.
  • Vet all inbound sales inquiries
  • Support BD VPs  in writing proposals, and negotiating contracts.
  • Develop a sales lead pipeline by identifying key contacts and acquiring key lead criteria for each account.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Inspire’s Recruit products and Promote’s digital ad products.
  • Help schedule meetings and presentations with clients and prospects
  • Support and assist with live and online, C-level client presentations
  • Document all activities in CRM software (Salesforce)
  • Leverage Salesforce and other communication and research tools to prepare, coordinate, and develop a strategy for initial prospect engagements
  • Deliver against monthly and quarterly lead-to-pipeline conversion goals
  • Work cross-functionally with Inspire client services, market research, and marketing teams

  • Proven experience with Salesforce CRM and LinkedIn
  • Understanding or ability to learn about clinical trials and digital ad products
  • Strategic business awareness and analytical skills
  • Strong customer service orientation with proven experience solving challenges collaboratively and resourcefully
  • Proven experience communicating effectively, both orally and written, with internal/external stakeholders, team members, and clients
  • Outstanding ability to listen to as well as influence others both internally and externally
  • Experience creating/editing presentations for clients in Google Slides or PowerPoint
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work creatively and effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to work simultaneously on multiple priorities
  • Outstanding ability to listen to  as well as influence others both internally and externally
  • Enjoy working both independently and as a team player
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and drive.
  • Experience in health care, pharmaceutical industry is a plus
  • BS degree is preferred
