Russel Bantham
President, Bantham Consulting
Since serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America for over a decade, Russel has represented global pharmaceutical companies in the areas of organizational development and legal and regulatory issues, served the U.S.Chamber’s Life Science Initiative and the Global Exchange Network, and has been an advisor to start-up companies in the healthcare and technology areas. He has also held a number of positions at Bristol-Myers Company (1969-1994), including Vice President and Associate General Counsel.
Russel is a graduate of Hamilton College and earned his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law school. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Non-Prescription Drug Manufacturers Association, the Council of Family Health, the Food and Drug Law Institute, and the National Association for Biomedical Research. From 1990-1994, Russel was a member of the Board of Trustees, Hamilton College.
Dan Levine

Tenfore Holdings is an investment management firm that provides operational value-added to growth-stage companies where technology plays a transformative role. Tenfore focuses on commerce and Big Data equity/debt investments where they can apply their operating experience and strategic relationships to enhance value.
Dan has 6+ years experience working with Eddie Lampert overseeing, developing, and operating core and startup businesses, particularly within Sears Holdings, concentrating on eCommerce, mobile, social, machine learning, and local spaces. He has focused on multichannel experiences that leverage and link online, store, supply chain, pricing, inventory, merchandising, and analytics systems. Dan holds an AB from Harvard and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Brian Loew
FOUNDER
Brian created Inspire in 2005 with the goal of accelerating medical progress through engaged patients and caregivers in safe, trusted online social networks. Over the past 17 years, he has grown the company to be the leading online community for health with more than 10 million visitors annually who join Inspire to discuss a range of health conditions.
Brian has built a network of dozens of nonprofit partners including the American Lung Association who rely on Inspire for safe, moderated spaces where their members can receive trusted information and support. Brian is a frequent speaker and writer on the topics of patient-centricity, the role of data in healthcare, health-focused social networks and digital medicine.
He sits on the boards of the Robert Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins, and New Jersey Goals of Care, and was a “Red Jacket” recipient from PharmaVOICE magazine for his contributions to the industry. Brian is a graduate of George Washington University.
Jill Johnston
Chief Innovation Officer, WCG Clinical
Jill Johnston is a Chief Innovation Officer with over 25 years’ experience in the clinical research industry. In her current role at WCG Clinical, she is responsible for driving innovation and integration across the enterprise.
Additionally, she is responsible for business transformation and strategy to research and explore new technologies, processes, and solutions for clients.
Jill is a seasoned executive in the Pharm Services sector where she served as President, Study Planning & Site Solutions at WCG prior to her current role. She also was Vice President, Clinical Strategy at Veeva Systems and a variety of roles over 25 years with Covance including Global Vice President of Business Transformation. Jill was fortunate to start her career at Covance where she has personally been responsible for leading clinical study teams of pivotal Phase II and III clinical trials in the therapeutic areas of oncology, cardiovascular, metabolic and neurology.
Jill has been recognized for her contributions to the industry, receiving several awards for her leadership and achievements, including the Covance Excellence in Process award and the Chairman’s Award twice in her tenure. She has a number of certifications including Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Project Management and Certified Clinical Research Associate. She was also a founding member and Chapter President for the Association for Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) in Philadelphia for several years.
Jim MacIntyre
Chairman and CEO, Product Lab
Jim MacIntyre is a serial entrepreneur with over a 20-year track record for technology innovation. He has served as a CEO and board member for some of the DC area’s most dynamic technology companies, including Ignitio, Cirrus Seven, and Logi Analytics. He was founder and CEO of pioneering web analytics and optimization firm Visual Sciences, formerly WebSideStory, which he sold to industry-leader Omniture. Additionaly, he served as Chief of eCommerce Technology for GSI Commerce, which was acquired by eBay in 2011 and became eBay Enterprise. He is currently the CEO and Principal of McLean, VA – based Product Lab, LLC. Mr. MacIntyre holds a BA from the University of Vermont.
Steve Schlesinger
Executive Chairman, Sago
Steve Schlesinger has been in the marketing research industry for over 30 years, starting his career as a project manager, and working his way up to lead Sago (formerly Schlesinger Group). As a leader of his company, Steve has created the strategy and vision for Sago, the global research and data partner that connects business questions to human answers.
Steve served for eight years on the board of the then Marketing Research Association, finishing his tenure as the Secretary of the Board. He is a founding member of the Insights Association CEO Summit and continues his involvement, co-chairing the events. Steve is also founding member of Marketing Research Education Foundation. Steve is an active member of Insights Association, AMA, ESOMAR & Intellus. He was presented the MRA (Insights Association) Honorary Lifetime Member award in 2015, in recognition of a commitment of outstanding individual service to the Association and the marketing research profession.
Steve serves on the board of directors of HR Acuity, the board of directors of Bibo Barmaid, the advisory board of The University of Vermont Foundation, and the Advisory Board of Michigan State University Master of Science in Marketing Research Program. He is a graduate of the University of Vermont with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biochemistry.
Richard B. Toren
Executive Chairman, Cohort Intelligence Corporation
Rick has been a serial entrepreneur in healthcare for over 30 years, with a focus on medical products, software, and consulting services. As an executive at Survival Technology, Inc., he was instrumental in the development of the EpiPen. Among the many companies with which he was involved was as a founding executive of ActiveHealth, a health services management firm that used clinical rules to detect omissions of care and alert providers.
He was chairman and president of CodeRyte, Inc., a Bethesda, MD-based medical coding company. He currently is serving as executive chairman, on a part time basis, to Cohort Intelligence Corporation, a company with an advanced machine learning solution to automate patient enrollment in clinical trials, disease management and risk-contracts. He is or has been on boards of many healthcare companies and organizations, including Kinergy Health, Christiana Health System, Memorial Health System of Broward County, and the American Heart Association.
