The New Activity Summary Email

The new Activity Summary email now highlights the most active posts in the communities you belong to. With a Recommended Post feature, Active Posts section, and New Members section you can see highlights in one concise email.

We updated this email to be more reflective of our site changes (more coming soon). It adds a “Read more” option to direct you to active posts in your communities for your comments and reactions.

This new format has removed repeats of discussions, journals, and replies and if you’d like to look at your community directly you can do so on the site.

If you have any questions about getting logged into your account to do this please contact our Community team at: team@inspire.com or send us a help request.

TAKE THE STRESS OUT OF HEALTH RESOLUTIONS

Funny Health Resolutions

Happy New Year! It’s hard to believe it’s 2022 and that January is already almost over. It’s been a hard couple of years, so to start the year off right, we want to lighten things up a bit. First, a question: Did you make any New Year’s resolutions? And if so, how are you doing?

We came across some tongue-in-cheek lists and compiled them into one list below. Can you relate to any of them?

MAKE YOUR HEALTH A PRIORITY

How to Help Yourself Succeed

If you didn’t make New Year’s resolutions like those above, or if you don’t normally, we would like to suggest that you resolve to, at the very least, have more fun this year. Watch funny movies or sitcoms, read more humorous and less dramatic books, subscribe to a joke of the day email. Try to take a more carefree approach to life.

Simple exercise, eating, and self-care ideas
Remember that living a healthy life is more than joining a gym and then committing to using your membership. You don’t have to make it complicated, you can keep it simple and you don’t even have to join a gym. Resolve to make resolutions at any time of the year, and make ones that you can keep for a week, a month, for your entire life!

Try these tips:
Take the stairs when you can! If you live or work in a building with stairs, commit to taking at least one flight up and down each day. Then add more as your stamina increases.

Eat your meals at a table without electronics, including the TV. Unplug and enjoy your meal. Communicate with your family. Focus on what you are eating and slow down. It generally takes about 20 minutes for your stomach to tell your brain that it’s full. If you slow down, you will eat less.

Commit to parking a bit further when running errands or visiting the doctor. Walking a few extra steps will get your blood pumping and do your health some good.

If you made New Year’s resolutions, please share them!

What about in previous years, is there anything unusual or out of the ordinary that you can share with other Inspire members?

What about choosing three words or phrases you can live your life by or share what your favorite type of coping music is, what songs or genre do you put on to help you feel better?

Start a post and share!
