Leveraging social media networks to understand and address challenges due to COVID-19 within the rare disease community

Inspire’s researchers performed a combined quantitative and qualitative analysis of survey data and a sociolinguistic analysis of anonymized online community discussions across more than 20 rare disease support communities. The combined survey and real-world voice analyses revealed many challenges and concerns experienced by rare disease patients and caregivers during the pandemic.
